Design Name: Electricity Usage Meter

Have you ever wondered how much electricity one of your appliances uses? Do you want to try to cut back on your electricity consumption? This product would allow you to do just that.

The object that I designed is called the Electricity Usage Meter. The Electricity Usage Meter allows you to see how much electricity a household electrical appliance uses. It has two functions. The first function allows the meter to check how much electricity the appliance uses in kilowatt hours, while the second function allows the meter to record how many kilowatts are used over a 24 hour period.

The Electricity Usage Meter is powered by several small solar panels similar to what can be found on a calculator. The meter plugs into any wall outlet or power strip and has the electrical appliance plug into the top. The small simple design allows the Electricity Usage Meter to fit almost anywhere. You can easily switch the Electricity Usage Meter from one appliance to another in just under a minute. The Electricity Usage Meter is very easy to use since it only has one button on the side which changed the function. This object will help you save money and most importantly, electricity.
